Elsa
Lindsay “Elsa” Goodmon is a Seattle-based multi-media costume artist. Elsa moved from her hometown of Kansas City to Seattle to pursue her BFA in Performance Production at Cornish College of the Arts, and since graduating, has joined the local IATSE wardrobe union and has collaborated with Seattle Opera and the Pacific Northwest Ballet.
Elsa attended the Kansas City Ballet School from age four to fifteen and continued her dance education with Crescendo Conservatory, dancing in their company Crescendo in Motion until moving to Seattle. With a dance background, Elsa focuses her passion for costume design on dance and movement art, often collaborating with dance students to support their emerging choreography. Elsa has collaborated with HEARTH Dance Company, an integrated company founded by fellow Cornish alumni.
Elsa prides herself in being a low-vision, queer artist, working with other young people in Seattle to create spaces for disabled artists, especially within the dance community. Diagnosed with oculocutaneous albinism type 2 at ten weeks old, Elsa has had to find new ways to create in a world designed against her, giving her perseverance for problem-solving, innovation, and optimism.
Elsa has recently moved to the Roosevelt area and found a new passion for paddleboarding on Green Lake. She can mostly be found with her hot pink cane exploring Washington with her friends.
